Longitude Rx and WakeMed Collaborate to Advance Specialty Pharmacy Capabilities

Collaboration will support the development of a strong operational foundation, accreditation readiness, and long-term growth for WakeMed’s specialty pharmacy program.

IRVING, Texas and RALEIGH, N.C., [September 3, 2026] — Longitude Rx and WakeMed are announcing a collaboration focused on advancing and supporting the continued development of the health system’s specialty pharmacy program.

WakeMed is a nationally recognized, 973-bed not-for-profit health care system founded and based in Raleigh, N.C.

As specialty medications and therapies become increasingly complex, health systems need the operational infrastructure, quality standards, and strategic capabilities to support a high performing specialty pharmacy program. Through this collaboration, Longitude Rx will bring deep health system specialty pharmacy expertise to support WakeMed in establishing a strong foundation for its program and positioning it for long term growth.

Together, Longitude Rx and WakeMed will focus on key elements of specialty pharmacy program development, including operational readiness, accreditation preparation, quality standards, and the infrastructure needed to support future growth and market access opportunities.

“WakeMed is taking a thoughtful approach to developing specialty pharmacy capabilities that align with the needs of its organization, providers, and patients,” said Cora Beth Enzor, PharmD, Chief Operations Officer of Longitude Rx. “Our role is to bring the specialty pharmacy experience and infrastructure needed to help establish that foundation and position the program to grow successfully over time.”

“Expanding our specialty pharmacy capabilities is an important part of how we continue to evolve the services available to meet the needs of our patients and providers,” said Abbie Williamson, PharmD, MHA, Executive Director of Pharmacy for WakeMed. “We look forward to working with Longitude Rx as we continue to develop this program.”

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to building specialty pharmacy models that are designed around the needs of health systems and the communities they serve.

Longitude Rx works with health systems across the specialty pharmacy lifecycle, bringing together operational expertise, market access strategy, clinical experience, data, and technology to help organizations establish, strengthen, and optimize their specialty pharmacy programs.
